Alfonso Reyes Ochoa (1889-1959) war ein mexikanischer Schriftsteller, Dichter, Essayist und Diplomat. Sein Leben war sowohl Briefen als auch der Verbreitung von Kultur und Wissen gewidmet, durch sein Interesse an der Schaffung von Organisationen und Institutionen.
Reyes 'Arbeit war reichlich und produktiv. Es umfasste mehrere literarische Genres, darunter Poesie, Theater, Erzählung und Essays. Es zeichnete sich durch Kultur und Ausdruck aus, auch durch die Herangehensweise an die Fragen im Zusammenhang mit dem antiken Griechenland.

Einige der wichtigsten Titel der Könige waren: Vision von Anáhuac, Neun taube Romanzen, Grausame Iphigenie, Sympathien und Unterschiede und Schießpulverbaum. Der Schriftsteller diente auch der mexikanischen Diplomatie in Ländern wie Brasilien, Spanien und Argentinien.
Biografie
Geburt und Familie
Alfonso Reyes Ochoca wurde am 17. Mai 1889 in Monterrey geboren. Er stammte aus einer kultivierten Familie, war politisch verbunden und in einer guten wirtschaftlichen Lage. Seine Eltern waren: Bernardo Reyes Ogazón, Militär und Politiker, und Aurelia de Ochoa-Garibay y Sapién. Der Schriftsteller und Dichter Alfonso Reyes hatte elf Geschwister.
Es ist wichtig hervorzuheben, dass der Vater des Schriftstellers in seiner militärischen Rolle an der Intervention beteiligt war, die die Franzosen im 19. Jahrhundert in Mexiko unternahmen. Bernardo Reyes Ogazón war als Politiker mehr als zwei Jahrzehnte lang Gouverneur von Nuevo León und hatte auch Positionen als Kriegsbeamter inne.
Kings Education
Alfonso Reyes erhielt schon in jungen Jahren eine sehr gute Ausbildung und zeigte auch sein Interesse an Lernen und Briefen. Zu seinen Lehrveranstaltungen in Monterrey gehörten mehrere Institutionen, darunter das Civil College, und er studierte am französischen Lyzeum von Mexiko.
Nachdem er die vorherigen Einrichtungen durchlaufen hatte, studierte er an der National Preparatory School. Nach seinem Abschluss trat er in die alte National School of Jurisprudence der Nationalen Autonomen Universität von Mexiko (UNAM) ein, um Jura zu studieren.

Zu dieser Zeit, 1909, schuf er zusammen mit einer großen Gruppe junger Enthusiasten das bekannte Athenaeum der Jugend.
Reyes und das Athenaeum der Jugend
Die Initiative von Alfonso Reyes und seinen intellektuellen Freunden, das Jugend-Athenaeum zu gründen, hatte das Ziel, Mexiko unter kulturellen Gesichtspunkten durch verschiedene Verbreitungs- und Werbemaßnahmen zu modernisieren. Unter den jungen Leuten, die ihn begleiteten, stachen José Vasconcelos und Pedro Henríquez Ureña heraus.
Die Mitglieder hielten auch Versammlungen ab, um die Klassiker der Literatur zu lesen und zu diskutieren, insbesondere griechische Autoren und Werke. Die jungen "Atheneisten" brachten neue und gute Ideen ein, um während der Regierung von Porfirio Díaz einen echten kulturellen und künstlerischen Wandel zu erreichen.
Alfonso Reyes und die mexikanische Revolution
Die Verbindungen, die die Familie Alfonso Reyes zum Diktator Porfirio Díaz hatte, begünstigten ihn nicht, als die mexikanische Revolution 1910 begann. Zumindest zeitweise bildete sich im Leben des Schriftstellers Angst, der sich mit einem Revolver im Inneren schützte sein Zimmer, in dem er die meiste Zeit eingesperrt war.
Reyes war noch ein Universitätsstudent, als er 1912 als Beamter der Fakultät für Philosophie und Briefe der Nationalen Autonomen Universität von Mexiko diente. Ein Jahr später schloss er sein Studium als Anwalt ab, insbesondere am 16. Juli 1913.
Reise nach Paris
1913 erlitt Reyes den Verlust seines Vaters, nachdem er während des als Decena Tragica bekannten Militärputsches gegen Präsident Francisco Madero ermordet worden war. Infolge dieser Tragödie traf der Dichter die Entscheidung, nach Paris zu gehen, um sich von den Schmerzen zu erholen. Trotz allem gelang es ihm, Teil der mexikanischen Diplomatie zu sein.
Leben in Spanien
Nachdem Reyes in Paris gewesen war und 1914 ästhetische Fragen veröffentlicht hatte, zog er wegen des Ausbruchs des Ersten Weltkriegs nach Spanien. Er lebte dort ein Jahrzehnt, das er nutzte, um seine literarischen Arbeiten sowie seine Forschungs- und Dokumentationsarbeiten zu entwickeln.
Alfonso Reyes freundete sich mit wichtigen spanischen Schriftstellern dieser Zeit an, wie José Ortega y Gasset und Juan Ramón Jiménez, um nur einige zu nennen. Seine Veröffentlichungen stammten aus jenen Jahren: Fußabdrücke, Selbstmord, reale und imaginäre Porträts, Kalender und die schräge Ebene.
Alfonso Reyes als Diplomat
Trotz einiger Schwierigkeiten, die Alfonso Reyes in Spanien hatte, konnte er weiterkommen und sich durch seine literarische Arbeit einen Namen machen. Sein Ruhm erreichte sein Heimatland, und die mexikanische Regierung machte ihn ab 1920 Teil der ausländischen Diplomatie.

Er begann als Vertreter Mexikos in Spanien. Später, zwei Jahre lang, zwischen 1922 und 1924, war er für das Geschäft im "Mutterland" verantwortlich. 1924 ging er nach Frankreich, wo er bis 1927 Minister war; Später, zwischen 1927 und 1938, war er Botschafter in Argentinien und Brasilien.
Bewunderer und bewundert
Reyes war ein Mann, der bei seinen Kollegen Bewunderung für die Qualität seiner Arbeit hervorrief. Dies war der Fall bei dem Argentinier Jorge Luís Borges. Als sie sich in Buenos Aires trafen, applaudierte Borges der Eleganz und Tiefe seiner literarischen Arbeit und stufte ihn auch als "den besten Prosaschreiber" ein.
Andererseits empfand der mexikanische Schriftsteller Respekt und Bewunderung für verschiedene Intellektuelle. Der französisch-argentinische Autor und Historiker Paul Groussac, den er für seine Schreibfähigkeit lobte, zeichnete ihn jedoch am meisten aus. Er sagte auch oft von ihm: "Er hat mir das Schreiben beigebracht."
Persönliches Leben
Daten zum persönlichen Leben des mexikanischen Schriftstellers sind rar. Es ist jedoch bekannt, dass er eine Frau namens Manuela Mota Gómez heiratete, mit der er seinen einzigen Sohn namens Alfonso Bernardo Reyes Mota hatte.
Unaufhaltsame literarische Produktion
Reyes war ein Schriftsteller, der sich seiner Arbeit widmete, die auch in den Jahren, als er als Diplomat diente, nicht aufhörte. Einige der Titel, die er zwischen 1925 und 1939 veröffentlichte, waren: Pause, Gongorianische Fragen, La Saeta, Otra Voz, Infancia, Mallarmé Entre Nosotros und La Casa del Grillo.
Letzte Jahre von Leben und Tod
Alfonso Reyes widmete seine letzten Jahre der Produktion seiner Romane, Gedichte und seiner umfangreichen Essayarbeit. Er widmete sich auch der Förderung der Geschichte und Kultur Mexikos durch Wissen sowie kulturelle und künstlerische Aktivitäten.

Einige Werke aus diesen Jahren waren: Panorama der griechischen Religion, Anker, Neun taube Romanzen, Marginalia und hellenistische Philosophie. Reyes starb am 27. Dezember 1959 an einer Herzerkrankung in seiner Heimat Mexiko. Seine sterblichen Überreste ruhen in der Rotunde berühmter Personen.
Stil
Der literarische Stil von Alfonso Reyes war durch die Verwendung einer kultivierten Sprache gekennzeichnet, die gut ausgearbeitet, präzise und gleichzeitig ausdrucksstark war. In seinen Werken war es üblich, eine Vielzahl von Wörtern und Begriffen sowie einige Archaismen oder alte Wörter zu beobachten.
In Reyes 'literarischer Arbeit gab es Wahrheit, Realität und Fantasie, in Geschichten, die manchmal mit einem gewissen Humor und einem ironischen Ton erzählt wurden. Das vom Autor entwickelte Thema konzentrierte sich auf sein Interesse an griechischer Literatur sowie auf den historischen und kulturellen Ursprung Mexikos.

Auszeichnungen
Die literarische Arbeit von Alfonso Reyes, die sich für die Förderung und Verbreitung der Kultur einsetzte, machte ihn mehrfach anerkannt und ausgezeichnet. Er war sogar an der Gründung und Gründung verschiedener Institutionen wie dem Colegio de México beteiligt.
